National Outreach Event Poland: In search of a Transformative Ambition
The Polish national outreach event featured a presentation of 4i-TRACTION results followed by an open debate on Poland’s climate policy and EU regulations, with contributions from experts across ministries, NGOs, and research institutions.
On the 13th of September 2024, a national outreach event was held in Katowice and online. The event comprised a presentation of the results of the 4i-TRACTION project and a discussion of the implications of the regulation for climate policy, with reference to the Polish state. The presentation was delivered by Dr Krzysztof Krawiec, Head of the Sustainable Transport Program at WiseEuropa.
Subsequently, an open debate was held, moderated by Patryk Białas (Energy Transition and Fair Transition Expert; Director of Innovation and Competence Centre at the Science & Technology Park Euro-Centrum). The participants from the Ministries, state research agencies and NGOs discussed the European Union's climate policies implemented between 2005 and 2020, and its ex-post evaluation conducted within the scope of 4i-TRACTION project along with the recommendations for policymakers resulting from the entire project.
The meeting attracted a lot of interest from stakeholders and the presentation sparked a lively discussion. Among the issues discussed was the integration of sectoral policies with climate policy and the allocation of resources to sustainable development.
The event was held in Polish to support better understanding of 4i-TRACTION findings to the relevant stakeholders.
